What if my password reset is not working?

If you aren't able to reset your password, please make sure you are using one of our recommended browsers and that your browser is up to date (you can update most common browsers through Browse Happy). Older browsers and unsupported browsers (including mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets) could interfere with this process. 

If you didn't receive the password reset email, please:

1) Double-check the email address that you entered. If you use multiple email accounts, make sure that the email address you entered is the one associated with your Coursera account. 

2) Check to make sure that the email didn't go to your Spam folder. Then, to be safe, add to your allowed list and try again.

3) If you typed the correct address and the email isn't in your Spam folder, you might have mistyped your email address when you signed up with Coursera (this is probably the case if you haven't been getting any other email notifications from us). If you think you might have mistyped your email address, please contact us for more help!

If you received the password reset email, but encountered a message indicating that the reset request expired, please request another reset link. The link expires after approximately 24 hours, so please be sure to check your email and follow up on the new link within that time frame!

If you requested the link just a few minutes ago, but still receive the "expired" message, please clear your browser's cookies and cache before requesting another link. 

If these suggestions don't fix the problem, please contact us. Please include the reset link that you obtained (if you were able to obtain a link), and the approximate time that you requested it, in your message.
